Hybrid systems are the future of oil heating, says European Commission Adviser

In an interview with the Finnish Petroleum Federation’s periodical Lämmöllä, Pirjo-Liisa Koskimäki, an Adviser for the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy, seems confident that the European Union will reach its 2020 energy and climate targets, including on energy efficiency. Ms Koskimäki recommends that all those who have chosen to revamp their oil fired heating systems ought to consider supplementing it with hybrid systems, such as heat pumps, heat retaining fireplaces, solar or wood heating.
