Eurofuel visits Oilon to explore low-carbon heating technologies

Eurofuel recently visited Oilon in Finland to learn more about the company's work in combustion technology and low-emission energy solutions.

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on the future of heating and the technologies that can contribute to Europe's climate and energy objectives.

During the visit, Eurofuel members were introduced to the company's research and development activities, including its work on clean combustion technologies and renewable fuel applications.

Particular attention was given to advanced burner technologies capable of operating with both conventional and renewable fuels. Discussions highlighted the importance of improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions while maintaining reliable and affordable heating solutions for consumers and businesses.

A key message throughout the visit was the importance of a technology-neutral approach to decarbonisation. Meeting Europe's climate goals will require a diverse mix of solutions, including renewable liquid fuels, efficient combustion technologies, electrification, and heat recovery, depending on local circumstances and consumer needs.

Commenting on the visit, Eurofuel Secretary General Federica Miano said:

"The transition to sustainable heating will require multiple technologies working together. Our visit to Oilon highlighted how innovation in both renewable fuel applications and heat recovery solutions can contribute to reducing emissions while ensuring reliable and affordable energy for consumers."

Eurofuel thanks Oilon for hosting the visit and sharing valuable insights into the technologies that are helping shape the future of low-carbon heating.
