During our General Assembly in Dijon in June 2025, Eurofuel members had the unique opportunity to visit the Suntec Industries factory, a key player in Europe’s fuel pump technology for both residential and industrial heating.
This factory tour provided valuable insights into how a traditional manufacturer is adapting to global challenges and responding to the increasing demand for renewable solutions.
During our last visit to Suntec in 2022, the factory was significantly affected by the repercussions of Russia's war in Ukraine. At that time, much of the product line depended on cast iron components sourced from Ukraine, which suddenly became difficult to obtain, leading to a major supply crisis. This experience marked a turning point for Suntec, prompting the company to take decisive steps to restructure its supply chain and product strategy.
Suntec’s evolution is not only technical but also strategic. The factory is currently in a transition phase, balancing existing product lines while actively developing new, more sustainable technologies. The highlight of the tour was the introduction of their new methanol-compatible pump, which has already been successfully installed in Switzerland.
“Our ambition is to move towards offering only bio pumps in the future, specifically engineered for renewable liquid fuels. This is our commitment to supporting Europe’s energy transition and providing the components needed for renewable-ready heating systems”, said Simon Massot, Sales and Marketing Director at Suntec.
Eurofuel and its members were encouraged by a tangible example of industrial innovation that aligns with our vision of enabling a low-carbon future through sustainable liquid fuels and compatible technologies.
We would like to thank the Suntec team for their warm welcome and open dialogue. Their factory in Dijon is a symbol of resilience and forward-thinking, demonstrating how the heating industry can adapt, innovate, and thrive on the journey toward climate neutrality.
